Hair | Planing On Cutting My Hair.

I’ve been natural for almost 6 year. I can officially say that I am bored of my hair. I really thought that when I reached this point my hair would be at a shoulder length without stretching it or blow drying it. Most of the time, I have protective styles just because I don’t know what to do with my hair.

My top favorite protective styles

Originally, when I cut my hair I cut it into a tapered cut. Now, don’t get me wrong, the growth and the versatility is amazing.I will never perm my hair again. I have so much  I love my hair pattern and the thickness of it. My dilemma is the length. My hair is between that stage where it’s too short to do a low ponytail but it’s not long enough to just leave it down without blow drying it. Even if decided to blow dry it, I still feel like it’s still not fully stretched.

Semi-blow dry style.

Each time i do a wash go style, people always wonder if i cut my hair due to major skrinkage.

I’ve decided it’s time to maybe go see a professional hair dresser (that specializes in kinky hair). I was thinking of having them shape/trim it but at the same time, I found myself loving tapered cuts again (confused much?!).

Now what? I am giving myself until spring or early summer to decide whether I should just have my hair shaped or tapered. Until then, protective styles must continue. Plus it’s winter; if you’ve been following me long enough, then you know I never leave me hair out in winter. What’s a girl to do?
